Lego Game Club - July 8, 2010

Our second Lego Game Club was held on Wednesday, July 8th at 2pm. Our photographer was unable to make this meeting so our pictures are a bit sparse, but you can still check them out at this link.

Thank you to all the participants and volunteers who continue to make this club a success. We had another donation of Duplo blocks recently so that we were able to offer a "preschool" area for the younger siblings.

If you haven't been able to make a Lego Game Club yet this summer, you have one more chance. Our last summer meeting will be on August 4th at 2pm. Don't forget to bring your library card if you want to play with wheels or people!

Lego Game Club - June 17, 2010

We have been busy this summer at Mission Trail Library! We kicked-off our summer reading program, "Make a Splash - READ!" on June 14th, and then on Wednesday, June 17th we held our first Lego Game Club of the summer.

We filled the room with 48 kids and adults, not to mention our very helpful and awesome teen volunteers. We played lego board games, built some cool lego creations and raced lego cars. A good time was had by all. If you would like to check out the pictures, go to this link.

Summertime Fun with Mission Trail Lego Club!

Summer is almost here, and we at Mission Trail Library have been busy planning some really cool things to do over the summer break. Our Lego Club will morph into Lego Game Club for the summer. Through a gaming grant that Riverside County Library System won, we will be acquiring 4 Lego Board Games. On June 16 @ 4pm, and July 7th and August 4th @ 2-4pm we will be meeting to play Lego games as well as enjoy some unstructured Lego play time. All kids ages 6-12 are welcome. Also, check out our online calendar or stop by the library to see all the other summer events we have planned to chase the summertime boredom-blues away!

Lego Club - April 26, 2010

Hello all Mission Trail Lego Enthusiasts! Here is the link to April's Lego Club pictures. We had a great time, as usual. Our theme was Flying Machines, and we saw a lot of really cool, creative designs. We gave away a Lego Space Police kit, as well as 3 In & Out certificates for a free hamburger. We look forward to seeing you next month for our Lego Club Races on May 21, 2010 @ 4pm! We will be building Lego Cars to race down a track we are building just for Mission Trail Lego Club. We will be awarding the top three winners a Lego Racers kit. Don't forget to bring your library card so that you can check-out wheels for your car. See you then!
